This is the first of my weekly blog posts about how you can maintain optimal health with natural health care. First, a little about me:
I am a primary care physician, practicing in Eugene, Oregon with many areas of expertise. Directing the correct lifestyle choices for each specific condition is the basis of my treatments and I rely on the ordered and intelligent self-healing process within everyone. This time-honored strategy includes nutrition (dietary) recommendations, homeopathy, tailored supplements and herbs, proper sleep and exercise, and hydrotherapy.
Since health is a reflection of balance on all levels (physical, emotional, and spiritual), I am committed to helping my patients overcome the obstacles to achieving optimal health so that they can live up to the fullest potential.
I graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in basic science emphasizing molecular biology in 2001. While at the U of O, I discovered Naturopathic medicine and became aware that medicine can be practiced in cooperation with nature and still maintain strict scientific integrity. I trained at the oldest of the four accredited naturopathic medical schools, National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon and was conferred a doctorate after 5 years of study.
Open communication between patient and physician are essential for a successful working relationship and I am committed to meeting your expectations. I rely on the knowledge you have of your body and on your involvement in your care to achieve your personal health goals.
I am licensed by the Oregon Board of Naturopathic Examiners (OBNE), and I practice within the scope of a primary care physician (PCP).
Besides maintaining my private practice, I am also an avid bicycle racer, a part time cycling coach, and the developer of Northwest Knee Warmers embrocation.
